Yes, on the qemu version I tested your binary with it does work. The only
problem with it there is that the color scheme turns rather odd and the
text you type into the program is rendered in such a light shade of blue
that it's very difficult to read against the white background. But the
program does seem to function fine using TERM=linux naim. Colors can be
adjusted in .naimrc, so that could resolve the problem readily.

I also tried specifying the TERM for naim on the laptop I've set up as a
testbed, but that's the one where I installed the full, non-static naim
0.11.8.3.1 binary I found on the web. The results are pretty much the same
there so far as colors are concerned. There is an additional problem there
related to some odd characters rendering lines that are part of the
program interface--undoubtedly an effect caused by the addition of the
extra fonts I loaded on that machine (see my earlier post of a couple of
days ago on adding fonts to try and resolve some opera display issues).
