The floppies will not work on your system (you do
not have enough RAM). However, the DOS version of
BL3 will work well on that system. I suggest you
do the following.

(1) Use DOS fdisk (from a DOS boot floppy) to
reformat the harddrive. Create a 35mb bootable
DOS partition. Leave the remainder of the HD
unallocated.

(2) From the DOS bootdisk do: FORMAT C:/u/s

(3) Create C:\DOS directory and copy the executables
from the floppy to C:\DOS

(4) Remove floppy and reboot computer.

(5) Use floppies (or laplink cable) to copy pkunzip
(and any other DOS utilities you need) to the HD.

(6) Create C:\BASLIN directory and use floppies
(or laplink cable) to copy BL3-50.zip to C:\BASLIN

(7) Unzip BL3-50.zip and execute boot.

(8) Use BL3 fdisk to create a 15mb partition (/dev/hda2).
Make it a primary partition. Make it type "Linux swap".

(9) Use BL3 fdisk to create a partition (/dev/hda3) that
fills the remainder of the HD space. Make it a primary
partition. Make it type "Linux".

(10) Format the swap partition by doing: mkswap /dev/hda2

(11) Format the Linux partition: mke2fs -m0 -i8192 /dev/hda3

(12) Mount the Linux partition: mount /dev/hda3 /hd

(13) Execute: install-to-hd
