Manularen and others,

I have the same question about installing BL3.50 to hard drive, except I have 32 mb ram and have been looking unsuccessfully for the instructions for installing to a Linux hard drive partition. Could someone please give me a pointer to that information?

The machine is an IBM Aptiva with 200 mHz Pentium processor and 3 gigabyte IDE hard drive. A 2 gb first primary partition is booting Windows 98, and a 1 gb second primary partition /dev/hda2 is set to the Linux ext2 file system awaiting BL3.50. I intend to dual boot.

(As to an ethernet adapter, I am still working with that as a separate issue pending further bench work.)

Thanks,
Asahel

Hi

I have an old 486 COMPAQ CONTURA laptop with a 121 MB HD, 8 MB RAM, no CD drive, and no NIC card. I downloaded BL and copied the two floppies. But i want to boot up the system from the HD, not from the floppies. What are the correct procedures to do so ? I know i have to change the HD filesystem, but don't know how to install BL in order to boot from there.

Other thing i don't know if it's important, my laptop has 8 MB RAM, not the 12 MB. Does the system hangs because of that?

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks in advance
