May BL3 use a swap partition? Yes.
(1) use fdisk to create a swap partition
(2) use mkswap to format the swap partition
(3) use swapon (in /etc/rc) to activate swap
Does BL3 need a swap partion? Not necessarily.
If you have a lot of RAM (eg 128mb) there is no
immediate need for swap. However, if you want
to run a bulky application (like OpenOffice),
you should use swap.
