The serial 3com Palm III (works in BL2) and the USB Handspring Visor (does not work in BL2 with 'big' kernel) can beam files or entire address books between them via infrared, which provides a way of indirectly connecting from the USB model to the desktop. Just type in the addresses on a regular keyboard, upload via serial cable to one PDA, beam to the other. Nice if both people wanted the same address book and todo list. Handspring also sold an optional serial cradle which would be more convenient.
Does any other list member have a USB Palm-type PDA?
