- Subject: [BL] Abiword in Slovene
- Date: Wed, 10 May 2006 23:44:03 +0000 (UTC)
Now that I have disabled Abiword on one computer (by upgrading BL2 to SW9.1 library, which I will probably undo, and the computer won't boot any more anyway) someone offered me a large translation editing job in which I need to read Slovene (but not type it) and Abiword is of course displaying the standard upper ASCII characters.
How do I add a font to Abiword (and/or X) that would be compatible with whatever Windows is using so I could read it with diacritics instead of math symbols? (I also need to turn off the spellchecker). CP1252, I think. (I rarely use Windows).
If all else fails I will have to (shudder) hook up the Win98 computer.
Also, why does BL3.3 busybox over a minute (total boot time 1.5 minutes) to do whatever it is doing on one computer where BL3 is on a 540MB (slow old) drive but there is also a 6GB drive with BL2 on it and BL2 boots okay. Is this a hardware problem? We have other drives.
