If you are near any thrift shops, why not look for a scsi scanner for $5-10. (I got one for $1 one time without power supply). Sometimes people include scsi cards and sometimes the cards work.
Value World, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul.
Scsi cards can be found at ebay too.

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has had some experience of using wine with (I
guess) any Slackware distro.

I have failed so far in my attempts to access the flatbed scanner I
mentioned in previous despatches, but I have the original Windows9x/Mac
installation CDs.
So, I was wondering if there was any way to use wine (or maybe even
bochs) so I can install the correct software to run a parellel-port scanner.

Any ideas ?

Regards,
Ron
