- Subject: [BL] TeX in BL2
- Date: Mon, 18 Oct 2004 21:55:40 +0100
Hi,
Installed TeX in BL2: installpkg tex_bin.tgz and tetex.tgz from Slack 7.1.
Next, tried to compile a file (test.tex): tex test.
TeX not found. Changed to the directory where the binaries are:
/usr/share/texmf/bin.
Now, tex runs fine and test.dvi is created.
Next, tried to convert test.dvi to test.ps using dvips, also from
/usr/share/texmf/bin.
About a thousend of error messages appear on the screen, most of them
saying fonts not found, or errors while trying to create them.
I thought that the fonts were in tex_bin.tgz/tetex.tgz. Installing
gsfonts.tgz did not solve the problem.
Anyone succesfully using TeX in BL2?
Kind regards, Nomdo
