The pre-positioned combination L-MI- appears also in L-MI-QATON of 2Ki 23:2.

I am not detecting a substantial difference of meaning between L-MI- YOM and MI-YOM, but the poetic build-up of L-MI-YOM seems to me a kind of "up from the day", containing a whiff of a rhetoric overstatement.

I have another little thing that I ran into in my 2 Samuel 7 reading. In verse 6 there is the word yom with two prepositions, min and li. I did a search and found that this form למיום appears 3 times (Judges 19:30, 2 Samuel 7:6 and Isaiah 7:17). Does anyone know if there is any difference in meaning between this form למיום and the more common מיום?

thanks,
