BTW my memory, backed up by checking a concordance, indicates that כתב is
never used for “writer” in Tanakh, rather the word ספר is. However, in a
court, the ספר seems to have had the role of an executive secretary as well,
so there is not a one-to-one correspondence with the English word “writer”.
