How interesting, Gary, of all the relevant sites you isolate one unofficial
e-group, which is no more official than a yahoo knitting e-group, to state
your opinion of a sect of Scriptural Judaism which has been in continuous
existence since the time of Y'shua haNatzaret. In fact, I'm on the list you
mention and the moderator rarely participates if at all and when he does it
is to post excerpts from texts he has for sale or is in the process of
writing. He also solicits funds for his endeavors as you have pointed out. I
do respect the fact that he allows the type of freedom of discussion Yitzhak
and some others have recently argued as a more scholarly ideal.

At any rate, if in the future you want to point to authentic sources of the
Judeo-Christian sect to slander them, don't use a yahoo group but
www.shemayisrael.com.il ; or www.netzarim.co.il (one of my favorites) or
www.mechon-mamre.org or www.nazaraean.org just for starters or especially
Jerusalem Perspective Online (a big favorite). Of course, each Orthodox
Jewish Community has its own Beit Din but the sites describe respectively
what a convert from the Antinomian faiths would have to do. Even in Yisra'El
today there are 10,000 openly professing Jewish believers in Y'shua Mashiakh
and more if you count all Yisraelites.

Best regards,
David Fenton

yourselves with Moshiach. There is not Yehudi nor Yevani (Greek), there is
not eved (servant) nor ben chorin (freedman), there is not zachar (male) nor
nekevah (female), for you are all echad in Moshiach Yehoshua/Yeshua. And, if
you belong to Moshiach (YESHAYAH 53:10), then you are of the ZERAH of Avraham
Avinu, you are yoreshim (heirs) according to the havtachah (promise).

Isaac, I was curious so I did a little research this a.m. and found
some of these names on an online "Nazarene" Yahoo discussion group.
Evidently, they consider themselves a sect of Judaism rather than
Jewish-Christian. And as you point out, they have some creative ways of
expressing the Hebrew. It looks like some of them are non-Jewish people who
have assumed Hebrew names and "converted" to Nazarene Judaism, so probably
most of them don't even speak Hebrew, although they are apparently quite
adept in the use of a Strong's Concordance.
This is all very entertaining and I wish I had more time to look
into it, but you can find more info at www.nazarene.net. Or you can go to
http://groups.yahoo.com and search the INJS archives. INJS is run by some
unfortunate chap who keeps telling the faithful that his house is about to
be repossessed and they should send him money quickly via PayPal.
You guys can take it from here, if you're interested. At least now
we know why they have so much invested in converting the "new covenant" of
Jer. 31:31 to a "renewed covenant."

Yohanan,

I am just curious, but why do you write 'BIN' with an 'I'? Do you
come from a tradition where SEGOL and TSEREH are pronounced as a
XIRIK, or is it just in honor of YEHOSHUA BIN NUN? Then, why do you
write 'dawidh' (as in "Shlomo bin-Dawidh", apparently SHLOMO BEN
DAVID) with a final 'h'?
