It sounds quite close to my ears. I think Buth uses what you might call a
Middle Eastern accented Israeli Hebrew. That might sound redundant, but I say
this to emphasize that he makes some distinctions that aren't often taught
when students learn to use Israeli pronunciation in reading Scripture. (For
instance, the distinction between 'ayin and alef.) Unless I'm mistaken, you
can actually hear the same types of distinctions in the recording, so that's
why I say they're probably quite close. In any event, I think it would be
safe
to classify both as types of Israeli Hebrew pronunciation, which is probably
close enough.
