Depending on where you move to, NC may or may not be an improvement.
RTP (Research Triangle Park, between Durham and Raleigh) has brought a
bit of the bobo to NC. There are some old money areas in Raleigh, and
even a few in Durham, but the rest of the Triangle is pretty
boboesque.
