Hi David,

And I think it's safe to say that one does not need a license -- ours or anyone else's -- to sample their own work :-)

If *anyone else* were to sample *your* work, even if they were only sampling a portion of that work, and redistributing that sample, without doing anything else to it, it is *still* a derivative work (ie: not the original work in its entirety).
