Sounds ok.

There are other applications for fuzzy downloading. The most important
is (IMHO) that you can recompress your tarballs with bzip2 and put
them on a cd (where space is really important) or a file server for
your network.

BTW that is why I am trying to convince people all the time to use
checksums on the .tar.
