I think this might be a clue to the solution, once sorcery LOCAL_CONFIG is
fixed to conditionally set VARIABLES as per bug #1068 then we can simply
reset the following to off to save time
FIND_CHECK=off
MD5SUM_CHECK=off
reset the following to on for the ldd check
LDD_CHECK=on
and then run cast --fix either from a POST_INSTALL file (which we don't want)
or via having set a variable in DETAILS (which means adding support for that
variable in sorcery)
How does that sound?
