Personally I think that if someone ^C's a program then they deserve
what they get. ;)

The 'break in the middle' could be troublesome and not stupid, e.g.
the user's on a laptop and needs to move to another location,
suspending the machine and bringing it back up during such a rebuild
/could/ cause problems.
