If you have already done this to your local copy then make a patch to apply
to
the grimoire version, then file a bug against xdvi and attach the patch.
mail lists and irc are a good place to get help, but feature
requests/enhancements like this should be formally filed with bugzilla.
Of course if you have permission to contact the maintainer of the section
privately, and they agree to do it without having a bug for a record keeper,
then it is not necessary, but that is a lot of "ifs" so standard practice
should begin with bugzilla.
