Ask on irc, file a bug, or post to the mailing in no particular order
of preference.

xdvi doesnt have a DEPENDS of CONFIGURE file, what do you mean?
I used xdvi all the time without ghostscript.

- -->That's exactly my point: since it's not compiled with PostScript
support, when you view a .tex with some .eps figures they don't appear in
xdvi. The only way to see them is to print the .dvi to a .ps.
So I just recasted it with something like --with-ps-support=/usr/bin/gs and
now
I have a "button" which allow me to activate or deactivate the postscript
displaying (and thus to see my .eps figures).
I thought it would be smart to have it by default since .dvi files mainly come
from .tex and since .eps are the common floating objects in .tex.
Unless you know an easy way to insert some .jpg it .tex documents?

/Lejatorn.
