The networking stuff is almost required unless one has it by default not
built but included in /var/spool/sorcery. Kind of an extra level of
complexity if we are going to automate it.

The compiling tools like auto*, libtool, and nasm... I would expect them
to come up quite a bit. I think they should be there. sysklogd for
security reasons I'd like to include by default. At least one standard
system logger. It can be dispelled but I would highly suggest against it.
The new init system might even require it. About the backup files, yeah,
should be deleted, and the old gcc directories, too. We should dump
those. I won't argue that xfs/e?fs/reiserfs tools are not needed. I
would expect them on the iso if it is to work as a rescue disk. The most
important thing is to keep the iso about/under 180 mb to keep it on the
small CD size for me, personally. The compiling for 386, yes, I agree. I
only have amd, for the most part, and I would like it all to work.
