In the Driftless area we've had 2 100 year floods, 2 tornados, & an 8 week drought in the height of summer in the last 4 years. Our site is one of the highest points in the immediate area so widescale flooding wasn't an issue & our anarchist swale system kept most of the surface water moving to places where it was more useful. The drought dropped the leaves a bit earlier in the forest garden but other than seedlings planted a couple months earlier I did no additional irrigation. Both tornados went to the lower sides of the hill we're on. Knock on living wood.
