Anyone know of any uses for wood ashes?? Besides lye soap and used to sweeten or alkalinize the soil.
The southwest is mostly way too alkaline so it is not useful as a soil amendment. I grew up with lye soap and thanks but no thanks for grannys' recipe for lye soap.
