Hi everyone,

I just spoke with the guy who invented the microchip idea. He told me
he had a five hour meeting with the US Secretary of Agriculture last
week, and that most of those rumors are not at all true. Yes, this is a
registry program for beef and poultry, but it won't target the random
pet and livestock owner. Microchips don't work apparently, as they
migrate around on the body, so it will be tattoos or some other form of
identification. This is happening around fear of bird flu virus and mad
cow disease. He said that all the other rumours about registering our
cats, dogs and parakeets is b.s. He's very involved with this project,
as well as being a real supporter of organic agriculture, etc... He has
a wife with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and gave the Secretary of
Agriculture an earful about that too... Anyhow, thought I'd dispel some
of the hysteria out there, as I was well on my way to becoming a vector
of it myself.

Heather

You better believe it. I live in Texas and they are already putting the
first phase of this into place. By July, it will be MANDATORY to
register
your premeses if you own even one chicken.... Later, you will have to
insert chips into each animal and report thier movments to the
government.
Fines for not complying are reported to be up to $1000 per day.

I went to the meetings for public comment and it was clear this is going
to
be ram-rodded through regardless of how unbeleivable it is. There were
many, many angry farmers and ranchers there at the meeting. A lot of
emotion and outrage.. Fierce, indepenant Texans being told they have to
get
and pay for a license to own a cow. Horse owners being told they will
have
to report whenever they take a horse on a trial ride off their property.
The vetrenarians turning into the police. This may well be an issue the
first shot of the revolution will be over.

When they first came out with this they actually called it the 'National
Herd'.

If you havne't figured out that we live in a police state, that the
government is completely owned and controlled by large corporations, and
that almost everything you ever thought or have been told is a lie -
well
then. This is your wake-up call.

It really is happening.

Is this USDA program (reportedly underway in several states) even
remotely conceivable??

The National Animal ID program ... every single livestock animal in the
United States will be identified and tagged. All livestock animal
movements will be tracked, logged and reported to the government ...
Small farmers, pet owners and homesteaders will have to tag and track
every single animal. There are *no* exceptions - even small farms that
sell direct to local consumers will be required to pay the fees and file
all the paper work on all their animals. Even horse, llama and other pet
owners will be required to participate in NAIS. Homesteaders who raise
their own meat and grandma with her one egg hen will also have to
register their homes as 'farm premises' and obtain a Premise ID, tag all
their animals and submit all the paperwork and fees.
