Yes. I actively provide assistance to those who wish
to learn about computer systems and programming
concepts. Classes are useless, as this is a hands on
learning experience. If you would like to spend time
learning web/database development, feel free to
correspond. My only request is that you learn for the
sake of solving your own needs, not get answers to jot
down on a piece of paper for when you need to do 'X'.

Right on and thanks for the offer. A blog (ospclinux) would be nice...
.. for such questions as "what is a RSS feed?" and how
to make procmail work for you to filter email/sort into folders.

Edit the /etc/passwd file to reflect an alternative
shell for the next login session. Check out tcsh, so

Fred at ibiblio said to type chsh then /bin/csh. It worked.
I have had a (Unix then Linux) shell account on ibiblio since 1993
and highly value having access to Linux.

you get some of the extensions of bash, but with the
behavior you expect from csh; emacs/vi keys for
history recall and tab command completion for example.

I need to rtfm, dust off some of my Linux books and dig in.
