Get a huge feeder, or lots of them. It could take a couple of weeks to empty
it.

Your slug problem will kick into high gear around June. Just set out a few
bird feeders
in May. Sure, the birds like the stuff in the feeders, but they'll like
slugs even more!

Maybe you should consider getting four or five chickens for now.
