Isn't Black Currant more popular in Europe? You see a lot of Black Currant

I think the main uses of Aronia in Europe have been for natural colorings
and in wines, esp apple wines. I think that what will happen is that as the

amount of the crop goes up, there will be more uses for it. If it should
reach a point where there is more Aronia fruit available than demand, that
the growers will sponsor research to find more uses. That's what happened
with shiitake mushrooms in Japan. Donna
