At #2 below, try scionwood in plastic bag (each variety in its own labelled
bag), then this bag(s) inside a larger plastic bag which contains the damp
paper towel. Depending on the paper, it more or less wants to mold or
otherwise fall apart... all over the scionwood if in the same bag!

No need to seal scionwood ends, nor disinfect.
