If fruit blossoms and small fruit couldn't take any frost we'd never harvest anything here in southeastern NY with bloom typically in late April and last frost in mid-May.  It's hard frosts below 28 F that freeze off flowers and fruit. 

This year we got down to 18 when apples were at half-inch green and so far it doesn't seem like even apricots were damaged.
