Kathryn,
I have many pears in Quebec cold climate, some are ussuriensis, some are European, some are hybrids.
Ure and Golden Spice do bloom a few days earlier, while some perry pears do bloom later, but pretty much all do overlap here. I wouldn't worry too much about that.
