I would start out with 100 raspberry canes. The first year you will
get almost no raspberries. A few the next and some the third. The
fourth year the plants will sucker well and the berries will come. I
live in a colder area and almost everyone here grows Boyne red
raspberries. They are super hardy, bear well, and don't get
diseased. I like purple raspberries but they are barely hardy here.
I also have Killarney reds but I like Boyne better.
