I have 'Josta' jostaberry. It had a few flowers this spring, the first so
far in three years. As the freeze got them, I have still not seen or tasted
the fruit. I also have two called 'Red' and 'Black', which are probably
'Jostine' and 'Jostagrande'? (not sure which is which though). Both bloomed
this spring, one year after planting, but again no fruit due to the freeze.
These two are said to be much better than 'Josta', but need
cross-pollination. 'Josta' is probably the most popular jostaberry as it
supposedly does not need cross-pollination.
