True, Lon, The Cornell University probably has more documents available,
but the links I provided in my previous post (i.e. http://www.archive.org)
have a couple of advantages
-You may download the complete book as one PDF file (although it will be
big) and subsequently browse the book without having to be connected to
Internet. This is useful for me as I can make the download at work where
the link is very fast, and bring it home on my USB memory stick.
-The pictures are in color... which is very nice - those that I have seen
from Cornell were all scanned in black and white.
-The resolution is better for the books I have seen, making reading easier.
To my previous list, you may add the Downing book:
The fruits and fruit trees of America; or, The culture, propagation, and
management, in the garden and orchard, of fruit trees generally
Downing, A. J. (Andrew Jackson), 1815-1852, New York, J. Wiley & sons, 1860

Pears of New York (though not complete yet) as well as 85,000 other works.
