I grafted some blueberry onto some kind of woodier
Vaccinium and it has lived. The plant is in a bad spot, under a rapidly
growing pine, but the graft lived for 3 years and was still there the last time
I looked. I keep meaning to do some more, we have a big vaccinium that
makes small trees, and a smaller more graceful one. Neither crop very
well, it's the bad soil, but the notion intrigues me. Our soil is plenty
acid enough for blueberries on their own roots, not a problem
