I've managed to find an excellent reference through Ryan Athler
(r.athler@pacbell.net) who suggested the Clammy(P.heterophylla) and
Sticky Ground cherries have similar characteristics to the Husk
Cherry, which both have frost-resistent properties and should grow
well in your area.
