I can't speak for EVERY carnivore, but the ones I've been around (domestic AND wild) didn't have really smelly droppings if they were healthy and eating a diet that was proper for them. Some have pretty distinctive odors, but a healthy animal doesn't produce droppings with a putrid, rotten odor. Of course odor is a pretty subjective thing.
