I have found that Myer is my most scale ridden plant. The only way I have been able to keep scale under control on it is to go over manually and scrape off the scale with my fingernails. Various sprays help , like oil but I still have to go over it manually every so often. I have a kumquat in the same area and it does not get scale at all.
