Has anyone had luck growing Elaeagnus orientalis from seed (aka E.
angustifolia orientalis)? It is also known a Trebizond Date and Senjed. It
is sold as a snack in Middle Eastern groceries as Mountain Ash Tree Fruit or
Olyster. I was thinking of buying a bag of these and harvesting the pits.
As an alternative to this, does anyone know of a nursery that sells these
plants? It is hardy to zone 4. Here is a link to a picture of what the
