Jeff hit it on the head, TES does not care who locates the missing person, the only thing that
matters is that the person is found.

Karen - TES brought members from Hstn to "run" the search for LE. TES almost always screens volunteers "off the street" to accomplish the task at hand. They bring TES expertise at doing this and technology from within TES and any outside sources needed to get the job done. TES members could care less who "makes the find", but that the best search possible is conducted for the LE agency and family.

I wasn't there. just sharing the info. (UR right, positive ID is probably yet TBD.) For those wanting to better understand TES check the story in Evidence Technology Magazine:   http://www.texasequusearch.org/applications/ETM%20V5N4%20EquuSearch.pdf

TES seems to be getting many requests from LE agencies outside of TX these days. If they are doing a search anywhere near you please feel free to offer your services, even w/o your horses. Other search teams that I have recruited to help usually have a very positive experience. Join the search effort with an open mind and a willingness to help the family and LE get the job done. Isn't that why we all invest so much into our SAR training and support efforts?

ACCORDING TO OUR LOCAL ILLINOIS NEWS -
As of  the local Champaign, Illinois morning news Tuesday 10/2/07 - A shallow grave was found with human remains in it that an animal had disturbed.  The remains were yet to be identified.  Local authorities were making no comment on who the deceased was other than, yes, it was a woman.

TES was there, but I beleive it was another member of the search that located teh remains and not someone of TES.  (I did not quite here that part when listening to the news this mornign...so DO NOT QOUTE ME ON THAT PART...the rest I caught fully.
