If we as a MSAR community can ever agree on what minimum standards are
really about, then and only then will we ever have a chance at
establishing a nationally recognized MSAR resource.
This is why we have a lot of MSAR folks trying to build consensus standards, using the established and respected ASTM process so everyone interested gets a voice. ;)
I suggest we take this discussion to the ASTM MSAR standards discussion group, where it belongs. Anyone interested is welcome to participate in that discussion. http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/msar-astm
Please re-post your comments there. Or, if you prefer, I will respond there. Perhaps some discussion there will trigger progress regarding completion of the MSAR standards that everyone is waiting for. ;)
