I read a warning to use gloves if picking them off and that they’re a skin irritant.  I think that finally solved the mystery of a severe blister on my son’s neck last summer.  He had a nasty spot 1 ½” round or so that took a LONG time to heal and we couldn’t remember anytime he’d gotten burned or injured.  He mentioned last night that probably one of those beetles had landed on his neck and he just reached up to brush it off.   What finally helped the most on it was honey and there was a recent article in Acres U.S.A. about honey and healing and a study using honey to treat MRSA!  Amazing stuff. Nasty bugs.

Read last night that sabadilla seeds may be a control and a friend of ours has some that we’ll try. Anxious for the Pyganic to get here but don’t want to just sit and watch.

They’re so caustic that hens will eat only one.

THANKS!!!

Marcy

be worth a shot.  I've heard of them being a severe skin irritant to us two-legged mammals, but have not experienced anything myself when encountering them : ).
