Carla we have this happen a few times and the rule of thumb is to keep
cool, dark, and don't let freeze. I'm lucky and we have a cave on our
place but I have stored in the basement and covered with layer's of burlap bags
to keep the temp and light down. I have stored in the northwest end
of our greenhouse and keep covered, the ground is still cold in the north side
of buildings but the air temp is warm but the ground temp is cold yet. We
were -4 this morning and even the water hoses laying on the ground were froze
this morning, so I can relate to the late cold spring we are having.
