Hi Marie,
I have had the same problem, so I purchased a $50 spreadsheet template
program and was not happy with it. This winter I have been developing an
Excel spreadsheet to keep a running total of seed available plus the amount
and year purchased. It will also calculate days to harvest from date seeded.
I have thought of eventually selling the program if I can get it slick
enough. Currently it requires someone having knowledge of Excel.
Anyone can make this type of spreadsheet if they have a decent knowledge of
Excel and are willing to put in the time.
I alpha the seed and store in Tupperware type containers in an old working
refrigerator.

Regards to the List:

Here I sit, at the dining room table, surrounded by packets of seeds.
There's a huge pile for direct seeding in May, a pile of peas for April,
greens, lettuces, herbs, some that might be outdated, new ones . . . the
list goes on and on.

How do you keep all the seeds straight? Some of these might end up like my
garlic did this winter - forgotten or lost. I think I need to figure out a
system to keep track of the seeds we have other than in shoeboxes stacked
inside a big tote and put in the basement.

Any advice?
