I've always planted our potatoes by hand in 2 rows in raised beds (except last year, which is a different story...). I feel that I need to get more spuds into less space this year. I'm thinking of rows on 2 ft centers.

With my current tooling (spud buster), I can only do 1 furrow every 5 feet.

I assume that I'd need a tool bar setup to pull furrows on 2 ft center.

How do you do yours?

As far as tool bar implements: are these tools still 'exotic' and have to come from Market Farm Implement, or should I be able to find them around here?

I'd appreciate some input on 2 ft centers, as well. I know 2 ft is ok for the plants, but do you think it will make them too close together to hoe/hill etc?

Thanks
