Marty,
I am not wanting to put a damper upon your actions - I would just
redirect
them a bit.

Climate change, at this point, is beyond "turning around". However,
we
could still call our legislators, and put pressure upon them to help us deal
with the changes that will result from the accelerated climate change. Ways
to build our homes so that not only do they cut down on the emissions that
we contribute, but also so that they are prepared to bear the heat or cold,
depending, and the increased storms, and depend less upon our current power
system, as that is vulnerable. Ways of farming that don't use petroleum
products, and ways of farming that do not contribute to global climate
change....rotational grazing, organic farming, etc.

I think we all feel like the Lone Ranger (or maybe Tonto). We're all
watching strange weather events and wondering if they are strange
enough to warrant action. Maybe if we all called our elected people and
said, "I've been farming for (X) years and the weather patterns I see
trouble me. I think something is going on and I want you to get serious
about human caused climate change..."

Money does rule until there are enough people committed enough to turn
it around.

I'll make calls today to my rep and senators.

Warming, what warming? Greenhouse gases - isn't that a good thing? Can
anyone say "special interests rule"? Especially if the politicos have
money involved?
