Thanks, Jill.

I've been working full time for the environment since 1987 so I realize that it may be too late. However there is still a lot of damage that we can still do to ecosystems and if we don't do everything we can personally and as much as we can economically/politically things could get even worse than the way they are headed.

I just called my senators and representative's offices and had calm conversations with their office people. Now if a couple of hundred other people do likewise it might occur to them that there is a problem.

Marty,
I am not wanting to put a damper upon your actions - I would just redirect
them a bit.

Climate change, at this point, is beyond "turning around". However, we
could still call our legislators, and put pressure upon them to help us deal
with the changes that will result from the accelerated climate change. Ways
to build our homes so that not only do they cut down on the emissions that
we contribute, but also so that they are prepared to bear the heat or cold,
depending, and the increased storms, and depend less upon our current power
system, as that is vulnerable. Ways of farming that don't use petroleum
products, and ways of farming that do not contribute to global climate
change....rotational grazing, organic farming, etc.
