In NJ we seed carrots on raised beds and water with overhead light impact
sprinklers like Rainbird 20 series. We water just enough to wet the soil two
inches deep and only in short spurts to prevent crusting until seed
germinates.
Its very important never to let the soil dry out until germination...Bob.
