Maybe that's it. I added all sorts of amendments to the soil when I
planted them (rock phosphate, gypsum, egg shells, kelp, fishmeal, etc.);
the same mix I use on my tomatoes. It worked on the tomatoes, but
apparently not on the tomatillos.
