I sell my lettuce mix in a cellophane bag (biodegradable too!). I've had
lettuce stay good for 4 weeks. If you have to keep it very long (not
recommended since there is a considerable loss of vitamins) it's a good
idea to take it out of the bag after a week or two and refresh it in cold
water and spin again.
Just a thought about the ice. Might mention to put a layer (paper towels)
in between the ice and the lettuce. Ice can burn the lettuce.
