I really appreciate the practical applications people have come up with for this ancient system. If you want to see diagrams of how some native Americans planted the 3 sisters--corn, beans, squash--you can find them in the ATTRA publication Companion Planting. I think the pub has references to the books, such as Buffalo Bird Woman's Garden, where the diagrams were found. Sunflowers were also planted in these gardens.
