I don't recall writing anything about incompetence or lack of authority.
"Honesty" has little to do with it. Each of us views our world slightly
differently than the next person. "Tolerance" for other opinions, and there
is a difference between opinion and ract., is actually what I appreciate.

What exactly makes Leigh more of an authority than Jay? What credentials
makes Leigh's opinion more valuable that any one else?

Having made my living from agricultural pursuits for many years on a family
farm, and spending literally thousands of my volunteer hours advocating
for agriculture, both conventional and organic, sustainable, etc., on
local, state and national levels, my observation is that farmers
communicate very well within their "circle" but very poorly with most of
their consumer customers. If Jay doesn't farm, so what? He has a
perspective that can help us understand how we are being perceived by
non-farm consumers.
